We were looking for a math tutor for our son who will be entering Grade 6 this fall, and found the Regina Readiness Academy Facebook page. They were quick to return our messages, and we have now met with Shantelle twice, with a plan to continue going forward. At the assessment, Shantelle started off slowly to determine where my son was at without 'scaring' him away, and suggested a plan going forward that completely aligned with what had hoped for, especially building his confidence part. Shantelle found ways to connect with my son during the session and he appeared to be very focused on his work when I returned at the end of the session. My son is looking forward to future sessions with Shantelle! I also love that Regina Readiness Academy meets in the library setting, as having another child it makes it easy to pass the time while waiting (added bonus!)

I’m extremely impressed after one session with Shantelle! She asked great questions ahead, came prepared with options and ideas, found a way to connect instantly with my daughter, and had an outlined plan by the end of the first session. My daughter went into it saying “this is just going to be more work” and left saying “that was great!”. We are excited for more sessions!

Kristina is so amazing with our daughter. She actually wants to read now and often asks if she can go back to see her the very next day. The approaches Kristina uses with her are not only effective but also FUN. We would highly recommend not only her but the program as well.
